Around the world in 80 days – Autumn season 2016 | Fruhen
Fruhen Messebau – around the world in 80 days
Approximately 54,320 km – from the beginning of September until the end of November. Trade fair stands sent directly from the “home of trade fair construction” out into the big wide world.
Lyon, Milan, Cologne, Stuttgart, Paris, Berlin, Hanover, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Brno, Munich, Wolfsburg, Düsseldorf, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Basel, Essen, Mumbai.
Our dedicated employees were able to visit these cities in the autumn 2016 season alone. Around the world in just under 3 months. Nothing unusual in the world of trade fair construction, as our clients are present at exhibitions all over the world and always count on Fruhen as their international trade fair constructors.
Different cultures, different customs.
As an experienced trade fair constructor you become rather aware of the different cultures around the world. “Whether there’s fantastic wine and croissants in France or exotic cuisine in Mumbai. One thing all countries have in common – the stressful daily trade fair routine just before the start of the trade fair.” Our project manager Dietmar Grau is an expert. He has been present at international trade fairs for more than 20 years and has experienced a whole range of things.
“Very interesting, country specific peculiarities usually occur aside from the actual construction work. Suddenly in the middle of a trade fair in Mumbai, a green snake came up to me. When I checked with my Indian colleague he told me that the snake was not that bad really – it was only a semi-poisonous one. That was supposed to calm me down.”
Approximately 54,320 km by aeroplane, articulated lorry, car and the like, all from September 2016 until the end of November 2016.
EMC, Micam, AMB, Renault Techday, InnoTrans, FachPack, MSV, Expo Real, IZB, K, ITMA Asia, EuroBLECH, EICMA, electronica, STAHL, COMPAMED, METSTRADE, Prodex, SPS, Valve World Expo, Aluminium, KBIS and ITME. We are regularly active at these trade fairs amongst others. Many of these are outside Europe. Nothing special for our project leaders and assembly team any more.
“Nowadays we are experienced. I can remember at the beginning when I was at the Light Fair exhibition in America for the first time. It was nothing but stress but luckily even then we had local colleagues with us there. A real advantage.” Our project manager Matthias Friedrich is specialised in the region of USA and now knows many of the exhibition centres in the United States.
A well-rehearsed and experienced team – even across borders. That is key when working globally today.
